Professor Jose Plaza, Director of Dermatopathology, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, USA will discuss ‘A potpourii of interesting Inflammatory dermatoses’ .

The sun is out and we are pleased to announce that Dr Saleem Taibjee of Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester will be additionally brightening our horizons with May’s educational lecture entitled ‘Clues and Pitfalls to Blistering Disorders’. Bring your own suncream or blister at your peril. 

We hope you'll be able to join the next BSD trainees' session –this Friday 25th April at 12pm. The session will be delivered by Dr Arti Bakshi, Secretary of the British Society for Dermatopathology and Consultant Dermatopathologist at Liverpool Clinical Laboratories. Dr Bakshi's talk is titled "A slide seminar on hair follicular tumours", and will consist of a short presentation followed by a live case discussion. Look forward to seeing you there.

We are delighted to have Professor Franco Rongioletti from University Vita Salute S.Raffaele, Milan, Italy delivering November’s educational lecture on ‘New Entities in Dermatology and Dermatopathology’. Please note the start time of 1 pm.

The next BSD trainees' session – 24th October at 12.30pm - will be delivered by Dr Richard Carr, Consultant Dermatopathologist at Warwick Hospital. Dr Carr is an internationally recognised dermatopathologist, lectures frequently and has an active research interest, in particular in squamoproliferative lesions.

Dr Gerardo Ferrara, Dermatopathologist, National Cancer Institute, Naples, Italy will update on ’Sentinel node biopsy in melanoma’.

Dr Angelo Cassisa, Dermatopathologist, Head of Pathology Unit of Florence, USL Toscana centro, Florence, Italy will inform on "Unusual combinations in dermatopathology".

I'm pleased to announce the next session in the BSD Trainees' Series, which will take place on Wednesday 10th July at 12.30pm.

In July 2024, Dr A Bakshi (Liverpool Clinical Laboratories, UK) will be presenting: Approach to hair follicular tumours. Date Has not been confirmed yet.
